We treat a variety of conditions with comprehensive bracing management. We fabricate most devices in our in-house laboratory. Each device is custom-made and designed specifically for each individual.
AFO – Ankle Foot Orthosis
Commonly used to treat conditions of weakness, deformity or spasticity about the ankle and foot. They can also be used to help control the knee.
KO – KNEE ORTHOSIS
Used to treat conditions involving the knee. This may include hyperextension, ligament deficiencies (such as ACL tear), or osteoarthritis causing pain
FO – FOOT ORTHOSIS
Used to treat specific conditions of the foot that can affect many other joints in the body, since the foot is your foundation. Commonly treated foot conditions include: Achilles tendonitis, plantarfasciitis, metatarsalgia, Hallux valgus (bunions) and many others. Inserts can also address leg length descrepancies.
Modifications to footwear
Sole lifts, flares and buttresses. Rocker soles and Velcro straps.
KNEE-ANKLE-FOOT ORTHOSIS
Prescribed for neurological and skeletal conditions such as polio, spinal cord injury and trauma.
HKAFO – HIP-KNEE-ANKLE-FOOT ORTHOSIS
Similar to the KAFO, but also includes a mechanical hip joint for laxity or weakness about the hip.
RGO – Reciprocating Gait Orthosis
HKAFO’s for both legs with attachment to allow children and adults with spinal cord dysfunction (spina bifida or spinal cord injury) to walk upright
WHO – WRIST HAND ORTHOSES
Prescribed to correct or control positions of the wrist and hand. To improve function and reduce pain or deformity. Designs range from commercial soft off-the shelf, to custom rigid plastic, and everything in between.
EO – ELBOW ORTHOSIS
Used to treat tightness due to spasticity due to neurological condition, post-surgical positioning to reduce contracture, or significant laxity about the elbow.
SHOULDER ORTHOSIS
Used to treat chronic dislocation, scapular winging, and pain due to injury.
SPINAL ORTHOSIS
Used to treat specific areas of the spine. Common uses of spinal bracing include scoliosis, trauma, arthritis, and many others.
